Mio and Skoda have announced that they have formed a partnership to provide Mio SatNav units with dedicated mounts for certain Skodas. A dedicated device has been developed for Skoda, based on the Mio Moov, and will feature a custom active Mio mount that will be permanently fitted, removing the need for cables or windscreen mounts. This will be available as an option on Fabia, Fabia Combi and Roomster models from October. An interesting feature is that the mount itself has passed the EuroNCAP crash test.
Whether this will be available in the UK will depend on Skoda UK, who have, in the past, omitted some of the full range of accessories available across mainland Europe.
