Virgin upgrading broadband speeds

Virgin are apparently about to start the process of upgrading (for free) it’s broadband customers from 4Mb to 10Mb. This upgrade process will start in February, and take until the Summer to complete. As part of this, they are also upgraded the upload speed to 512Kb. More information here.

    Virgin are also apparently giving away free speed boosts to all their customers on the “Size L” package. I think it’s good to see the company trying to help its existing customer base - but only time will tell whether people actually recieve anywhere near the promised speeds.
