Nokia N95 8Gb vs. Nokia N95 8Gb

We all know about the new N95 8Gb, which Vodafone has an exclusive on until Christmas 2007 (we’re hearing the phone will be available on 3 and Orange from the New Year – no news on the other networks yet). However, today O2 Shops got their stocks of the N95 8Gb, which is all well and good, except one little detail…
The O2 version is actually the original Silver N95 with a free 8Gb card included. The O2 website is pretty clear on this point, but a lot of O2 Shop staff (and O2 Customer Service staff) are confusing customers by talking about “the N95 8Gb”, as opposed to “the N95 with an 8Gb card”.
There’s also been some confusion over whether O2 are stocking the N81, or the N81 8Gb, as they are using a picture of the N81 (yes, it’s slightly different) with an external 8Gb card, but the text talks about the N81’s 8Gb of internal memory.
We believe it’s the N81 8Gb they are actually selling, but in this case, we would have to recommend confirming with O2 by actually seeing the phone before you buy it – if it doesn’t say “N81 8Gb” on the front cover, it’s not the 8Gb version.

[...] In other news, the N95 8Gb is now available from 3 as we predicted. [...]
